Divider Panels keep animals from reaching into other sections of the trough and stealing feed from others. When used in conjunction with customer-supplied corral panels, they create up to four completely separate feeding stations within the feed trough area.

Trough Guard Kit - $130.00 complete

At Feed Smart, we are always looking for ways to improve our feeders & help our great customers. To that end, we have developed another customer-suggested accessory for feeders that are set up with four Gate or Corral Panels attached to keep animals separated at feed times.

As shown in the photos, these rails will keep your Feed Trough protected from animals butting it or using their front legs to bang it while they are eating.

Toggle Switch - Installed for only $55.00

 

This handy Toggle Switch allows you to temporarily 'turn off' your Feed Smart feeder. Whether you're going for a morning trail ride, off to a weekend show, or just briinging your horses in for a Vet visit, you simply "flip the switch" to discontinue feed dispensing.

We also sell the correct sizes of stainless steel Hose Clamps needed to install corral panels on your Feed Smart feeders. Ask for these when you call to order.

Other Helpful Details

• Most horses (except Mini's) & adult cattle do best with 6 ft. legs
• Most young calves & other livestock (like sheep and goats) do best with 5 ft. legs
• At each feed time, feeders can dispense as little as 2 cups, or as much as 20 pounds of feed
• All feed must be dry & loose – No molasses coated pellets or other sticky "sweet" feeds can be dispensed
• There is a 25% restocking charge on all assembled feeders

As shown in the photo above, feeders should be set on rubber mats for best results. When attaching corral panels to separate animals at feed times, be sure to anchor the panel ends away from the feeder with T-Posts. This creates a very solid, more permanent feeding station. Corral Panels, Rubber Mats, and T-Posts can be purchased at your local ranch supply store.

 

Two Feed Smart feeders can be carried in a standard sized truck bed, with parts secured by ratcheting tie-down straps, or on 48x48 in. pallets.
